Vision Sunday


Vision Sunday: Next Steps for Live Oak and for You At Live Oak Community Church, we say that “everyone has a next step”.  Live Oak Community Church has next steps too.  On Vision Sunday we cast vision for where we are going, look at the next steps we believe God has for us, and talked about our plan to get there, as well as challenged each of us to think about our next steps in that vision.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
What was a highlight for you from the past week?

What is your “Live Oak story”?  How did you end up at Live Oak and how have you been involved at Live Oak?
What is your observation about Live Oak’s identity as a church?  Who is Live Oak?

  • READ: Mark 2:1-12
  • Spend some time SOAPing this passage. You can either spend time SOAPing individually and documenting for a several minutes and then spend time sharing with each -OR- SOAP in real time with each other.   • Doug talked about some of the barriers for us in moving our mission forward.  He challenged us to GROW and GO.  What is your role in addressing each of these barriers?

Grow Our CONNECTING Capacity = connecting ourselves & others to Christ and Community
Grow Our SERVING Capacity = mobilizing more people to serve in the mission
Grow Our LEADING Capacity = growing our leadership and growing more leaders
